Welcome to QuadRaptor's Quake Stories.
These stories were written for the Quake community, and are a hobby of mine while I'm on the way to becoming a professional writer.
The stories take place after Quake 2, which are called "The Strogg Wars":
It was a golden age....a time of peace for all on Earth. That is, until she came.
Anyone bearing the name "Quaker" knows of this she-witch - the one they called Shub Niggurath! She came forth from another dimension to smite the dwellers of Earth and conquer our world with her countless minions.
Of course, we weren't going to let this happen.
Several years have passed since those days of terror, when several brave souls risked their lives to fight Shub Niggurath's minions, and all but one perished in attempt to defeat her. Noone knows his true name or his origin, but the one to defeat Shub Niggurath was simply called the Quake Marine. His selfless act of courage and skill saved our world, and to this day his triumph over the witch-goddess is celebrated at the ruins of the Quakelands, through friendly games of deathmatch. They would enter the ruins wearing protective devices that would prevent serious injury when attacked with weaponry, so that when they were fragged, they would simply emerge and continue to fight. Later additions to the game sparked more participation, as games such as Capture the Flag, RuneQuake, Clan Arena, Rocket Arena, and Headhunters emerged.
But of course, these games were not only for entertainment, but later on became training courses for soldiers.
Then came the Strogg Wars....those terrible times pierce the hearts of all the Marines. Many who remember those dark times can recall the broadcasts sent from our troops - the capture, torture, and sheer destruction of our soldiers on that horrid world. But when all hope seemed lost, one soldier did the job that should have taken them all to do. Bitterman alone removed much of the Strogg threat, but at the end of the war he was never found again. He was the savior of the world, just as the original Quake Marine was so many years ago.

AOD's Finest was the original comic book I wrote in 1999 that sparked my interest in writing stories. It is about a quake clan called the Angels of Death who travel back in time and end up doing the Quake Marine's job of defeating Shub Niggurath (while he arrives in the present). Although crudely drawn and having a few minor errors, this was one of the most important comics I'll ever write.
Visitors is the first chapter of the series. When the Quake Marines recieve a distress signal from an incoming ship, they send a group of soldiers to rescue the arriving soldiers. But when the ship is identified as a Strogg vessel, we prepare for what could be a Strogg ambush.
The soldiers that arrive have been turned into Stroggs, but assure our troops that they are quake soldiers just like us. However, suspicions rise, and even a love story envelops as QuadRaptor reunites with a long lost clan-mate, DangerGirl (who has become an iron maiden).
Choose a side between the Quake Marines and the Strogg Supporters, and watch this story unravel until the truth is revealed!
QuadRaptor begins to have nightmares of his days on Stroggos, and things get worse when a new cyborg named Sentinel arrives, who had been inprisoned for years and wants to seek his revenge on Quad. A three-part match begins between the two cyborgs, and the prize for winning - killing off the loser. At the same time, much is learned about QuadRaptor's mysterious alter-ego, SoulTaker, who was created after his horrific capture in the Strogg Wars.
The Summoning is by far the longest story of the series. Featuring many, many quake players (especially from the IHOC and QuakeOne communities), The Summoning is a recreation of my original story, AOD's Finest.
A squad of Quake Marines goes after a cult who tries to summon Shub Niggurath to the world once more, but accidentily creates a time rift which sends everyone in the area to the past. The Marines are scattered throughout the levels of Quake, and begin to find each other and fight together to stay alive.
QuadRaptor reunites with an old member of AOD, a scragg named Drago, who wants to overthrow Shub Niggurath for her cruel treatment of her own soldiers.
Tensions run high when the runes are gathered, and Shub Niggurath is finally faced!
Story is currently in the works and is not available to be read....yetThe final chapter in the series.
The story is that we find out the Stroggs have built a space station that is capable of firing a beam that can wipe out humanity. We didn't know about it's construction because the Stroggs have developed a state-of-the-art cloaking device that hid the station while it was being developed.
We have now discovered the station, and a team of Quake Marines are to be sent up to take it down....

Goosebumps books, this story is a "Choose Your Own Adventure", where your choices affect what happens next in the story. What's on the line?
